Money Advice St Andrews

join our team

We welcome new volunteers to help us to run our service. Our volunteers come from all walks of life and most are not members of St Andrew’s Church; some come from other churches and some from no church at all.

Advisers help the clients with their debt and money problems. New advisers are fully trained in the role, so previous experience is not necessary. Advisers are asked to work two mornings a month and also to do some work at home for their clients, although we have some administrative help with the more routine follow–up work.

Client Support Worker: a relatively new admin support role to liaise between the debt adviser and client to ensure accurate records are kept of meetings and all documentation is completed.

Welcomers: meet the clients on arrival and put them at their ease. They will also do administrative tasks such as photocopying for the advisers. Welcomers are asked to work one or two mornings a month.

The Management Group: Money Advice at St Andrew’s has its own management group with a chairman and treasurer, and several other members. We welcome new members who would be interested in overseeing the service. The management group meets four times a year.

If you are interested in any of these roles, please call the Money Advice mobile phone ~ 07599 618602 ~ to register your interest.
